Italian Red part 1

Giribaldi, Barbaresco 2006.
$40.00

Red licorice notes, chocolate, blackberry, and a touch of leather.  There is also a faint hint of coffee on the nose.
Dry with good acidity.

I think it needs to be aged longer to mellow out the tannins.  Right now I found it to be pretty dry.  But I think it would go nicely with grilled peppers and something gamey.
