The nose of this wine is so completely chocolate cake, it is crazy. Soon as my nose is in the glass I want cake, Red Velvet Cake. The chocolate gives way to dried herbal notes, and dark berries.
On the palate the Red Velvet cake notes continue, with a touch of cedar tossed in, along with dried tomatoes and herbs (Thyme).
This is a luscious merlot, I'm a pretty big fan. My Merlot heart does belong to another merlot, but this one is right behind it.
