With 60% Syrah with Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre you are greeted with a nose full of old world. A little olives here, a little lavendar there, and a barnyard in the corner.

I love dirty, earthy wines like this! It is so funky old world, I guess it is a geeky wine. There is a good bit of dark fruits and a nice herbal quality, but the leather and the barnyard stand out.

This is not for the timid red wine drinkers.
